Deleting "rejected' drafts.
We currently use WSS 3.0 and have a minor versioning enabled document library accessible by a large group. The library requires checkout to edit.
What happens occasionally is that an approved document will be edited, creating multiple drafts. Later, it will be decided that no changes actually should be made, so we want to delete all the drafts and revert to the last approved vesion. What
we cannot seem to do is delete the rejected draft, so the moderators end up looking at a view riddled with "rejected" drafts that will never be approved.
Is there any way to delete these, either through a workaround, sharepoint designer, or some other tweak? The process of versioning up the document comes with a large amount of regulatory "paperwork" so it is definately not a valid option to just version
up the document.
Any help or pointers in the right direction would be greatly appreciated - let me know if more information is useful.
Thanks!

Perhaps I wasn't as clear as I should have been: I cannot outright delete any documents because they are important for regulatory purposes. I am only interested in deleting the
draft files, rejected or otherwise, beyond the most current approved version. Moreover - document history and version number are meaningful, so I'd like to avoid losing the documentation trail of deleting the document and reloading it
into the library fresh.
